Text messaging (SMS)
Delete a list
1. Press 8PY` , SMS messages will be displayed, press 8PY` .
2. Scroll to Inbox or Outbox and press 8PY` .
3. Press 8PY` and scroll to Delete list, press 8PY` .
4. Press 8PY` to confirm or 8`_P to cancel.
Call the sender’s phone number
1. Press 8PY` , SMS messages will be displayed, press 8PY` .
2. Scroll to Inbox and press 8PY` .
3. Scroll .LWW^ or to the message you want and press 8PY` .
4. Scroll to Call number and press 8PY` .
5. The number is displayed and dialled.
Send/edit/delete text messages in the outbox
1. Press 8PY` , SMS messages will be displayed, press 8PY` .
2. Scroll to Outbox and press 8PY` .
3. Scroll .LWW^ or to the message you want and press 8PY` .
4. Press 8PY` to read the message or press .LWW^ or to choose from: Send message, Edit,
Delete Entry or Delete List.
Messages in the outbox are labelled according to their status. For example, Saved indicates a saved message or
Failed which indicates a message that failed to be sent.
Text messaging (SMS)
Receiving and reading text messages
When you receive new text messages, you will hear the message alert beep and the display will show
New SMS msg.
1. Press
8PY` , SMS messages will be displayed.
2. Press 8PY` , then scroll to Inbox and press 8PY` .
3. Scroll .LWW^ or to the message you want to read first and press 8PY` .
4. Press 8`_P to return to the inbox.
Reply to a text message
1. When reading a text message, press 8PY` . Reply is highlighted. Press 8PY` .
2. To use the sender’s message in your reply, press 8PY` . Or, press 8`_P to start with a blank message.
3. Enter your message and press 8PY` the sender’s number will be displayed.
4. Press 8PY` to accept then scroll .LWW^ or to Send Message and press 8PY` .
If you include the sender’s message, the text will be inserted at the beginning of your message. You can then edit it as normal.
Delete a text message
1. Press 8PY` , SMS messages will be displayed, press 8PY` .
2. Scroll to Inbox or Outbox and press 8PY` .
3. Scroll .LWW^ or to the message you want to delete and press 8PY` .
4. Scroll to Delete entry and press 8PY` .
5. Press 8PY` to confirm or 8`_P to cancel.
