If you run into problems with the unit, look for a solution below. The problem could also be caused by one of the
components connected to the unit, so please also check the manuals of each device.
Caution

This unit contains a sophisticated microcomputer for signal processing and control functions. In very rare situations, however, severe
interference, noise from an external source, or static electricity may cause it to lock up. If this happens, turn off the unit, wait for
about five seconds, and then turn it on again.

Onkyo is not responsible for damages (such as CD rental fees) due to unsuccessful recordings caused by the unit's malfunction. Before
you record important data, make sure that the material will be recorded correctly.
Returning Settings to the Defaults
Perform the steps below to return all settings to their default values.
Remove the disc from the player.
"NoDISC" appears in the player's display.
While pressing on the unit, press the CD button.
"INIT" appears in the display, followed by "FINISH".
This completes the initialization of the settings.

Make sure that the power cord is properly plugged into the wall outlet. Also
make sure that the power cord is properly connected to the unit's AC inlet.

Can not play disc
Make sure that the disc is placed in the disc tray properly, and that the disc is
placed in the tray printed-side up.

Make sure that the disc is not dirty.

Make sure that this CD player can play the disc.

If there is a risk of condensation, leave the unit for about an hour after turning on
the power before use.

Can not play tracks in the disc's playback order
Turn off any special playback modes (e.g. repeat, memory, or random).

It takes too long to select tracks (to find the
specified track)
Make sure that the disc isn't dirty. Clean the disc surface. If the disc is scratched,
replace it.

Can not store tracks in memory
Make sure that the disc is placed in the disc tray properly, and that the track
number you are specifying exists on the disc.
