TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE REMEDY
Engine rope cannot be pulled Oil has entered the combustion
chamber. This is usually caused by storing the unit
for an extended time with the engine in
an upside-down position. Remove and
clean the spark plug. Drain the oil out
of the spark plug hole, then reinstall the
spark plug.
Engine starts, runs, and accelerates
but will not idle Idle speed screw on carburetor needs
adjustment. Turn idle speed screw clockwise to in-
crease idle speed. See Figure 24.
