1. If you are replacing the batteries, unplug the phone line
and the phone’s cord from the system.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver
to remove the battery com-
partment screw on the bot-
tom of the system, then
slide the cover off in the
direction of the arrow on
the cover’s door.
3. Insert four fresh AAA bat-
teries into the compart-
ment as indicated by the
polarity symbols (+ and –)
marked inside the com-
partment.
