Detailed explanations for some of these settings are available in Basic Operation and Recording
sections in the User Manual.
• Formatting the internal memory may be required when:
1. The internal memory becomes unstable after multiple cycles of creating and deleting
files.
2. It is necessary to ensure the file system compatibility (i.e. the device memory requires
FAT32 formatting for correct operation) .
• You may also format the player when connected to a PC by right-clicking on the player’s drive
name or letter and select “Format” from the menu. Make sure you select FAT or FAT32 as the
file system.
