Never perform this operation while the engine
is running because this is extremely
dangerous. Always stop the engine before
inspecting the blade for any reason.

AIR FILTER

Your unit's air filter is one of the most
important areas to maintain. If it is not
maintained, you will void the warranty.

1. Remove the air filter cover by pulling up the two

tabs on the bottom back of the cover, then pull
out and up. (MA5)

2. Remove the air the filter. (MA5)
3. Wash the filter in detergent and water. Rinse the

filler thoroughly and allow it to dry. (MA6)

4. Reinstall the filter. (MA5)
5. Reinstall the air filter cover by positioning the

notch on top of the air filter cover onto the tab at
the top of the back plate. (MA7)

6. Using two fingers on either side of the air filter

cover and back plate, squeeze together until the
cover snaps into place. (MA7)

Never operate the machine without air filter or
filter cover. Doing so could lead the engine
breakdown.

OIL LEVEL

To prevent extensive engine wear and damage
to the unit, always maintain the proper oil level
in the crankcase. Never operate the unit with
the oil level below the bottom of the dipstick.

1. Make sure the engine is stopped and is cool so

the oil has had times to drain into the crankcase.

2. Place the unit on a flat, level surface to get a

proper oil level reading.
