Home screen tips
• To return to the Home screen, press the
key.
• To lock the keyboard, on the Home screen, hold the
key.
• To unlock the keyboard, press the
key and the
key.
• To lock the device, set a password. On the Home screen, hold the
key.
• To unlock the device, type your password. Press the
key.
• To switch between the Default and Vibrate notification profiles, on the Home screen,
hold the
key.
Phone tips
• To make a call from the Home screen, type the phone number. Press the
key.
• To end a call, press the
key.
• To answer a call, press the
key.
• To turn on or turn off mute during a call, press the
key.
• To turn on or turn off the speakerphone during a call, press the
key.
• To adjust the volume during a call, roll the trackwheel.
• To call a highlighted contact or phone number, press the
key.

Assign a speed dial number to a key.
1. In the phone, click the trackwheel.
2. Click View Speed Dial List.
3. Click an unassigned key.
4. Click New Speed Dial.
5. Click a contact.
6. Click Add Speed Dial To
Message tips
• To move up a message, press

Copy text in a message and paste it into another application.
1. In a message, place the cursor before the text that you want to copy.
2. Press the
key and roll the trackwheel.
3. Click the trackwheel.
4. Click Copy.
5. Place the cursor where you want to paste the text.
6. Click the trackwheel.
7. Click Paste.
