6 Preparation
Follow these steps to install batteries.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover
in the direction of the arrow marked
on the cover to remove it.
2. Place the batteries in the compart-
ment as indicated by the polarity
symbols (+ and
- ) marked inside.
The thermometer beeps and IN ,
OUT , MAX , MIN , and -188.8° E
(test characters) appear, then IN
and the indoor temperature appear
