Deactivate predictive text input
When the writing language is English, select # twice quickly.
Define the writing language
Select > Settings and Phone > Touch input > Writing language .
Change the language when writing
Select > Writing language .
The available options may vary.

General icons
The touch screen and keys are locked.
Someone has tried to call you.
You have unread messages.
If the message icon is blinking, your Inbox folder may be full.

An alarm is set.
Messages are waiting to be sent in the Outbox folder.
