Interface Setup
Internet
VC Configuration
Go to Interface Setup -> Internet. To add or delete an ADSL VC (virtual channel) configuration, enter the information that has been supplied
to you by your ISP.
WAN Configuration
The router can be connected to your service provider in any of the following ways:
• Dynamic IP Address: Obtain an IP address automatically from your service provider.
• Static IP Address: Uses a static IP address. Your service provider gives a static IP address to access Internet services.
• PPPoE: PPP over Ethernet is a common connection method used for ADSL
• PPPoA: PPP over ATM is a common connection method used for ADSL
• Bridge: Bridge mode is a common connection method used for ADSL modems.
Dynamic Routing
The dynamic routing feature of the router can be used to allow the router to automatically adjust to physical changes in the network’s
layout. The router uses the dynamic RIP protocol. It determines the route that the network packets take based on the fewest number of
hops between the source and the destination. The RIP protocol regularly broadcasts routing information to other routers on the network
