Using RFID
Note: Write success is less likely as you move the marker away from the
center of the label.
Important Note: The remaining steps are optional and only necessary if
encoding problems are present. If you are loading a new roll with the
exact same specifications as the last roll, none of these steps will be
necessary.
3. Open the PTStatus Monitor to test write to the RFID chip
and verify the correct position of the Reader/Writer. Go
Start - All Programs - Primera Technology - PTStatus.
Click on the RFID tab.
4. Click "Calibrate". PTStatus will automatically calibrate
optimal position and Antenna Power. This process may
take up to three minutes. During this time the stock
position and antenna power are automatically adjusted.
After this, ten write and ten verification reads are
performed on the same label.
5. Writing Test. If further testing is desired or if the automatic
calibration failed you can perform a writing test. Select the
Writing Test button to start.
The RX900 will write to the same label continuously until
"Stop Test" is selected. The results of each test will be dis-
played in PTStatus. During this time you can adjust the
Slide Bar if necessary until you receive a successful test. If
the test is not successful you will see a "Write Failed" error.
