Take off the cover of the
computer.

If you already have a
CDROM, DVDROM or other
drive attached to your
computer, go to step 7.
Find the flat ribbon (IDE)
cable, which goes from your
hard disc drive to your
motherboard. Next to the
connection of this cable on
your motherboard is the
second IDE connector/cable.
Attach your new drive to this
second cable, which goes into
the second IDE connector.
Your new drive must be set to
MASTER.
