Telephone answering machine (TAM)
switch the answering machine on and off
via your handset (see section 15.6.2).

Playing Messages
15.1.1 Playback of messages via
handset
The answering machine message counter
blinks when there are new messages and
display the number of new messages. The
first recorded message is played first via
the loudspeaker. When all new messages
have been played, the answering machine
will stop and the message counter will
stop blinking.

m key in idle mode, scroll
n to Answer Machine, and press
o Select.

Scroll to Line 1 or Line 2 and
press
o Select to start playing
new messages.
• The handset displays New and
the number of new messages in
the format 01/04, where 01 is
the number of the message being
played and 04 is the number of
new messages.
• If there are no new messages,
the handset displays the number
of old messages in the same
format (however ‘New’ is not
displayed.) and plays the old
messages.
15.1.2 Functions available during
playback
During playback, you can enable the
following functions by pressing
o
Menu. Use
n to scroll between the
functions and press
o Select to
confirm.

Delete all messages from the
handset
Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
Unplayed messages will not be deleted.

n to Answer Machine, and press
o Select.

n to Delete All and press
o Select.

n to select Line 1 or Line 2
and press
o Select.

Delete All? is displayed on the
screen. Press
o OK to confirm
deletion of all your messages.
• Waiting… is displayed while
the messages are deleted; then,
Deleted is displayed for 2
seconds, and the display returns
to the Answer Machine menu.

Previous
Listen to the previous
message.

Delete the message
currently playing.
