Starting motor does not crank Control arms are not in park position or
park switch is out of adjustment Place control arms in neutral and full out. Re-
adjust park position switch
Blade Engagement switch is engaged Disengage blade switch
Weak or dead battery Recharge or replace

Engine cranks but does not start No fuel in fuel tank Fill fuel tank
Fuel tank valve turned to “OFF” Select a fuel tank with gasoline

Fuel filter or fuel line is plugged Replace fuel filter or fuel line

Engine:
Runs with continuous misfiring or
