Resolution
2400 x 600 dpi—For the best print quality, choose 2400 x 600
dpi. This resolution is perfect for everything from text and line art
to clip art and photographs. It provides clean text, great detail and
character in fine lines and halftones, and rich, solid colors.
1200 x 600 dpi—The default print resolution is fine for general
business documents that include text and graphics.
600 x 600 dpi—When printing drafts and disposable documents,
select 600 x 600 dpi resolution.
Increasing or reducing print resolution does not affect the speed of
the engine or significantly affect the amount of toner used for printed
output. The magicolor 2480MF and 2490MF print at full speed
regardless of the print resolution chosen, and they provide a low cost
per page even at the highest print quality selections.
Print quality is further enhanced at all resolutions by the use of Simitri
Polymerized Toner technology.
