Changing the Delay Time
The sound from speakers can reach the listening position at
different times depending the speaker placements. You can
allow for this difference by changing the delay time of the center
and surround speakers.
1. Press [SETUP/MENU] once or twice in the stop mode or disc
is not inserted.
The “MENU” screen appears on the TV screen.

If D1>D2, set the delay time as follows: Difference between D1 and D2 Delay time 1 foot (Approx. 30.5cm) 1ms 2 feet (Approx. 61cm) 2ms 3 feet (Approx. 91.5cm) 3ms 4 feet (Approx. 122cm) 4ms 5 feet (Approx. 152.5cm) 5ms D1: The distance from the front speaker 9. Press [ENTER]. “CENTER DELAY” and the selected delay time remain. 10. Press [ 5 ] to select “SURR. DELAY”. DELAY ADJUST CENTER DELAY 0ms SURR. DELAY 5ms 11. Press [ENTER]. DELAY ADJUST CENTER DELAY 0ms SURR. DELAY 5ms 12. Press [ 4 ] or [ 5 ] to select the surround speaker delay time. (“0ms”, “5ms”, “10ms” and “15ms”) Surround speaker delay time If D1>D3, set the delay time as follows: Difference between D1 and D3 Delay time 5 feet (Approx. 152.5cm) 5ms 10 feet (Approx. 305cm) 10ms 15 feet (Approx. 457.5cm) 15ms 13. Press [ENTER]. “SURR. DELAY” and the selected delay time remain. 14. Press [SETUP/MENU] until the menu screen is cleared.
