Pickup
This softkey retrieves a ringing call or a parked call at
another extension.
To pickup a call:
1. Press the Pickup softkey.
2. Press the Ext or Group softkey.
Ext—Answers a ringing or parked call at another
extension.
Group—Answers a ringing call anywhere within a
predefined Group Pickup area.
3. Enter the extension or group number of the call you
wish to pickup, using BkSpc to delete the last char-
acter entered if you make a mistake.
4. Press Ok.
5. If you do not wish to pickup a call, press the Back
softkey. This cancels the call pickup procedure.

Screen States and
Softkeys
The Sayson 390 and 480 phones contain three basic
screen states—Idle, Connected and Inbound. These
screen states have different softkeys to help you make
and manage your calls more easily.
Idle State
The Idle State is the screen you will see when your
phone is on-hook or at dialtone. It allows you to make
calls, pick up calls, check voicemail and manage your
extension.
Note: On the 390, when you place the handset in the cradle or
press
when the handset is in the cradle, the Idle State
Screen will go away for 7 seconds. If you need the Idle State func-
tions immediately, press
or pickup the handset.
