TRÅNSIT OPTION

What is the Transit Option?

The Transit Option provides four distinct designated tie-down securement locations on the
frame of the wheelchair. Transit Option seating may also include tested mounting hardware
used to secure the seating system to the frame of the wheelchair.

Crash-tested for use with Wheelchair Tiedown and Restraint Systems (WTORS) that comply

with SAE J2249. When used in conjunction with proper tie-down and occupant restraints,
in appropriate vehicle solutions, the Transit Option offers a complete and approved
transportation method.

Factory installation and Retrofit Kits are available.

What is SAE J2249?

SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) created the standards for the WTORS systems and
requires that
these systems withstand 30 mph crash tests.
