Calling
Learn to use calling functions, such as making and
answering calls, using options available during a call or
customising and using call-related features.
Make and answer a call

You can use the buttons or the touch screen when you
make, accept, end, or reject calls.
When you turn on the proximity sensor, your •
device automatically turns off and locks the touch
screen to prevent accidental inputs when you
hold the device near your face. ► p. 95
Static electricity discharged from your body or •
clothing may interfere with the proximity sensor
during a call.
Make a call
In Idle mode, open the application list and select

Keypad, and enter an area code and a phone number.
Select

to make a call.
To end the call, select

End.
Use the phonebook to save numbers you dial •
frequently. ► p. 62
To quickly access the call log to redial the numbers •
you dialled recently, select → Logs.
Answer a call
When a call comes in, drag

right until it reaches the
dot.
When the device is ringing, press the Volume key to
mute the ringtone.
To end the call, select

End.
