Using the Battery Pack (Optional)
5 Align the battery pack tabs with the corresponding slots on the bottom of the
modem. Then, set the modem on the battery pack and carefully, but firmly, slide
the modem into the battery pack connector.
6 Slide the switch to the Lock position. If it is difficult to slide the latch to the
locked position, firmly slide the modem once again into the battery pack to fully
seat the connector. Then slide the switch to the Lock position.
7 Connect the 15 V DC power supply to the back panel of the modem, and then
plug the power supply into an AC power outlet. The AC POWER LED status
indicator illuminates.
Charging the Battery Pack
The battery begins to charge automatically as soon as you attach the modem to the
battery pack, connect the 15 V DC power supply to the back panel of the modem,
and plug the power supply into an AC outlet. When you first plug in the modem,
the AC POWER LED status indicator illuminates.
Note: It may take as much as 24 hours for the battery pack to charge fully.
