Setting the Video Output
( SCREEN SETUP)
Items Options (  : Default settings)
TV TYPE When you connect the player to a TV and watch the picture on TV screen, make
this setting according to the type of the TV screen.
 16:9 Select this when you connect a wide-screen TV or a TV with a
wide mode function.
4:3 LETTER
BOX
Select this when you connect a 4:3 screen TV. The wide picture
with the bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen
will be displayed.
4:3 PAN
SCAN
Select this when you connect a 4:3 screen TV. The wide picture
will be automatically displayed on the entire screen and the
portions on the sides that do not fi t will be cut off.
COLOR SYSTEM When you connect the player to a TV to watch the picture on TV screen, make this
setting according to the color system of your TV. The default setting depends on
where you purchase the player.
AUTO Outputs the original color system of the disc.
NTSC Always outputs the NTSC signal.
PAL Always outputs the PAL signal.
