4 Connect power
1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.
2. Press
POWER on the front of your receiver.
3. Press STANDBY/ON on the receiver or POWER ON on your remote control to turn on the receiver.
5 Complete setup
• Press the input buttons on your remote control or rotate the INPUT SELECTOR knob on the
front of your receiver to switch between devices. See “Selecting the input source” in your User
Guide for more information.
• Press the SOUND PARAMETER button on your remote control to adjust the sound
parameter. See “Adjusting sound parameters” in your User Guide for more information.

INPUT SELECTOR knob (receiver front) Input buttons (remote control)
1. Connect the supplied microphone to the SETUP MIC jack
on the front of your receiver.
2. For best results, place the microphone close to the area in
which you’ll be sitting.
3. See “Setting the listening environment (ROOM EQ)” in your
User Guide for more information on how to complete the
auto speaker setup procedure.
Adjust speaker settings with Auto Setup
NOTES:
• Because the microphone for Auto Setup is designed for use with this receiver,
do not use a microphone other than the one supplied with this receiver.
• After you have completed the auto setup procedure, disconnect the
microphone.
