Connecting a tape player or mini-disc recorder

To connect a tape player or mini-disc
recorder:

Connect the audio cable(s).

Connect one end of the audio cables to
the receiver.

Connect the other end of the cables to the
tape player or mini-disc recorder.

Connecting six channel components

To connect your six channel components:

Connect the audio cable(s).

Connect one end of the audio cables to
the receiver.

Connect the other ends of the cables to
the corresponding analog outputs of a six
channel decoder or DVD player with six
channel Dolby Digital (DTS) output.

Connecting a video game console or camcorder

To connect a video game console or
camcorder:

1 Connect your audio and video cables to the

receiver.

2 Connect the other ends of the cables to the

video game console or camcorder.

Connecting the setup microphone

To connect the setup microphone:

Connect the microphone to the SETUP MIC
jack when performing auto speaker setup.
For more information, see “Using Auto
Setup
” on page 19.

Notes

Because the microphone for Auto Setup is
designed for use with this receiver, do not use a
microphone other than the one supplied with
this receiver.

After you have completed the auto setup
procedure, disconnect the microphone.
