During playback, press and hold the
SKIP button for 2 seconds to start moving
backward at high speed.
2 Press
PLAY/PAUSE to stop at the desired
point.
To go to the next or previous album (MP3):
•
Press ALBUM UP (next) or ALBUM DOWN
(previous) button.
Random play
To play tracks in random order (shuffle play):
•
Press the RANDOM button. “RANDOM”
appears on the display and shuffle play
starts.
To cancel random (shuffle) play:
•
Press the RANDOM button until “RANDOM”
disappears from the display.
Programmed playback
You can play back the tracks or files on the CDs
in the disc 1-5 positions in any order you want.
By specifying
the disc numbers from 1 to 5 and the track or file
numbers from CD (1 to 254) MP3. A program of
up to 20 tracks or files from all the available discs
in the disc tray can be played in a preset order.
To program playback:
1 Press the MEMORY button (in stop mode).
“MEMORY” appears on the display window.
2 Press the
or
(
SKIP) button to select
DISC NO. (“Disc No.” blinks on the display
window), then press the MEMORY button to
enter the programmed disc. (“Disc No.” stops
blinking.)
3 Press the
or
(
SKIP) button to select
a track or file (“Track No.” will blink on the
display window), then press the MEMORY
button to enter the programmed track or file.
(“Track No.” stops blinking.)
4 Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to program other
tracks or files.
5 Press the
PLAY/PAUSE button to start
program playback.
To check the program:
•
Press the ALBUM UP or ALBUM DOWN
button in program mode. A track or file
number and program number is displayed.
To clear the program:
•
Press the
STOP button twice or open the
disc tray.
To change the programmed tracks or files:
•
Clear the program and repeat all the steps
again.
Repeat play
A single track, a disc, or all discs can be played
back repeatedly.
To repeat the current track or file:
•
While a track or file you want to repeat is
playing in normal play, press the REPEAT
button until “REPEAT 1” appears in the
display window.
To repeat all tracks of a disc:
•
While the disc you want to repeat is playing in
normal play, press the REPEAT button until
“REPEAT 1 DISC” appears on the display
window.
To repeating all discs:
•
Press the REPEAT button repeatedly until
“REPEAT DISC A” appears on the display
window.
To cancel repeat play:
•
Press the REPEAT button repeatedly until
“REPEAT 1,” “REPEAT 1 DISC,” and
“REPEAT DISC A” disappears from the
display window.
Sleep mode
To turn the player off automatically:
1 Press the SLEEP button on the remote
control. “SLEEP” appears in the display
window.
Initial sleep time will be 90 minutes.
2 Press the
or
(
SKIP) button on the
front panel to cycle through the available
settings.
Settings include: 240, 210, 180, 150, 120, 90,
60, 30, 10, 5, 4, 3, or 2 minutes.
The CD player will turn off automatically after
the preset sleep time has elapsed.
To cancel the sleep operation:
•
Press the SLEEP button repeatedly until “NO
SLEEP” appears on the display.
Disc compatibility
CD discs
The CD player can playback audio
CDs (3" (8 cm)/ 5" (12 cm) discs).
MP3 and WMA discs
The ability of this player to read MP3/WMA discs
is dependent on the following:
•
The bit rate must be within 64 - 256 kbps.
•
The total number of files on the disc should
not exceed 254.
•
The maximum number of directories should
not exceed 32.
•
The maximum depth level of directories
should not exceed 4.
Note
The
or
(SKIP) buttons can only
be used to choose a track or file on the
current disc. To choose a track from another
disc, the DISC 1 - 5 select buttons or the
DISC SKIP button should be pressed to get
to the disc you want first.
Notes
• Random play works for all the
available discs in the disc tray for as
many as 60 songs.
• You can set or cancel the random play
in playback mode or stop mode.
