Drain hose connection:
The drain hose should be connected di-
rectly to large drain pipes. By no
means should connection be extended
with 3/4" hose or smaller! Connection to
drain should be adjacent to dishwasher
– left or right, but NEVER BEHIND!
Change existing installation to comply
with Miele installation instructions.
Additional note.
Since all Miele dishwashers are
equipped with an odour trap and non-
return valve, the drain hose can be con-
nected directly to the drain pipe as illus-
trated.
If plumbing codes require an external
air gap on the discharge side of the
dishwasher, the following requirements
must be met:
– No part the drain hose should be
higher than 1 m (39").
– The drain connection should be
made as close as possible to the
dishwasher.
– The internal diameter (22 mm or 7/8")
of the drain hose should not be re-
duced at any point.
