Bearer settings
For SMS , MMS , WAP and e-mail ser-
vices at least one connection profile
must be set up and activated. You
can obtain the current settings from
your service provider.
CSD settings
If it has not been pre-installed, enter
the data or enter the required set-
tings (your service provider will sup-
ply you with information on this):
Profile name
Give the profile a name or overwrite
one that has been preselected
Call type
Select ISDN or analogue.
Dial number
Enter ISP number.
User name
Enter login name.
Password
Enter password (shown as a series of
asterisks).
DNS
Enter the IP for the domain name
server.
GPRS settings
You can activate GPRS for the profile
and change the settings here. You
can only start to use GPRS once you
have activated GPRS on your phone.
Profile name
Give the profile a name or overwrite
one that has been preselected
GPRS APN
Enter service provider address.
Authentication
Activate/deactivate.
User name
Enter user name (login name).
Password
Enter password (shown as a series of
asterisks).
DNS
Enter IP for the domain name
system.
GPRS info
Show information about the connec-
tion (download volume/duration).
Transfer rate
Set the data transfer rate.
Additional information
Prolonged GPRS connection can cause
the temperature of the phone to rise. This is
normal and not dangerous.
