Problem Possible cause Remedy
The TV set does not
react to commands
from the remote con-
trol. • There is an obstacle between
the remote control and the TV
set.
• Sunlight is shining directly on
the infrared sensor in the TV
set.
• The batteries in the remote
control are flat.
• The TV set is not switched on
with the mains switch.
• Fault in the internal processor.
• Remove the obstacle.
• Ensure that the sun does
not shine on the set.
• Install new batteries.
• Switch on the TV set
with the mains switch.
• Switch the TV set off
with the mains switch,
wait a few seconds and
then switch it on again.
