Water circuit connections are made in the back of
the unit utilizing the four 1" male pipe thread cou-
plings provided. Model FCX can be connected to va-
rious comfort heating water systems as well as to a
domestic hot water heating system if desired, obser-
ving that:

• Water circulating pumps provided in the va-

rious circuits must be large enough for each
circuit including the pressure drop of the boiler/
condenser in the unit. For optimum sound level
and power consumption, set the circulator to
the speed that is appropriate for the installation
flow rate and pressure drop.

• Isolation valves may be used in the various cir-

cuits to facilitate boiler maintenance without
having to completely drain each circuit. NE-
VER place an isolation valve between a pres-
sure relief device and a water tank.

• An expansion tank must be provided in the

system to support an expansion of 6 % of the
total water capacity of all the circuits employed.

• Safety pressure relief valve must be connected

to the drain.

• The water pressure gauge (not supplied) has

to be fitted outside the unit.
