The indicators for Numeric and Symbol entry modes are:
iTAP TM method
The iTAP software combines your key presses into
common words, and predicts each word you enter.
For example, if you press 2775 , your phone
displays a list of word combinations such as Appl, Aspj,
an Aspk.
When you enter three or more characters in a row,
your phone will guess the rest of the word. For
example, if you enter Prog, your phone might display:
To insert a letter combination from the bottom of
the screen, press S right or left to highlight the
combination you want, and press SELECT.
To insert a suggested word, press S up.
To enter a space, press * .
