If satisfied with the height of the handle, tighten the star 2.
knobs at the ends of the lower handle shown in Fig. 3-3.
For convenience of operation, you may adjust the handle
height as follows:
NOTE: Each end of the lower handle must be placed in the
same position on the mounting brackets.
Remove the star knobs shown in Fig. 3-3 and remove a.
the lower handle.
Position each handle bracket stud into the top hole

in the lower handle.
Tighten the star knobs.

Position the recoil starter by following the steps below: 3.
Hold the blade control against the upper handle. a.
Slowly pull the starter rope out of the engine. See Fig. b.
3-4.
Slip the starter rope into the rope guide. c.
Tighten the rope guide wing nut. d.
Use the cable tie provided to secure cable to the lower handle. 4.
Pull the cable tie tight and trim excess. See Fig. 3-5.
