• Press the manual firing button

on the on-camera
mecablitz to fire a test flash.
• The 34 CS-2 SLAVE responds with a delayed flash, the-
reby indicating operating readiness. If several SLAVES
are simultaneously used, then all of them will simulta-
neously respond. If a SLAVE does not fire a delayed flash,
then this indicates that its sensor did not receive a light
pulse. Turn the SLAVE until its sensor

can receive a
light pulse.
• The light output of the 34 CD-2 SLAVE is controlled by
the camera’s flash unit.
The SLAVE only reacts to light pulses from the
controlling „master“. Flash units of other photo-
graphers working in the same action radius will
not trigger the SLAVE!
Bright ambient light and/or a wide aperture setting on the
camera’s lens may cause the electronic circuit to cut off
the power prematurely so that the SLAVE does not receive
a complete light pulse. In such an event either set a smal-
ler aperture on the camera or mount a neutral density filter
in front of the lens.
