8-7. Maintaining Gun
Ref. 800 797-D
Turn off welding power
source/wire feeder.
1 Nozzle
2 Contact Tip
3 Adapter
4 Head Tube
Cut off wire and disconnect gun
from feeder
Remove nozzle contact tip and
adapter from head tube.

Liner
Unscrew and remove liner.
Lay gun cable out straight before
installing new liner.
Blow out gun casing.
Reassemble gun in reverse order
from taking it apart. Be sure liner
stickout is approximately 3/4 in. (20
mm).

Wire size stamped on tip −
check and match wire size.

Thread wire according to Sec-
tion 5-12.
