Brewing coffee
Cleaning the coffeemaker before first use
Follow the steps under “Adding water and ground coffee” and “Brewing coffee
now,” (pages 5-6) but do not add coffee grounds.
Selecting and measuring ground coffee
For best results, use coffee ground for use with automatic drip coffee makers,
The amounts shown below are suggested amounts.
To brew... 1 Use this amount of ground coffee

two level tablespoons = one level scoop
l
one cup = five ounces brewed coffee
Adding water and ground coffee
1,) Open the brew basket lid and lift out the
removable filter basket.

Place a MR. COFFEE@ brand 8-I 2 cup paper filter
or a MR. COFFEE@ permanent gold-tone filter in
the removable filter basket.
Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the
filter. Gently shake the filter basket to level the
ground coffee.

4. ) Return the filter basket to the brew basket. Be certain
that the filter is centered in the filter basket and then
close the lid to the brew basket.
