Setting Up
Naming a Handset or Base Unit
When you register a handset to the base, it is
assigned a default name of Handset(x), where x can be
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. You can change the name to
something more useful, for example a location
(Kitchen) or someone’s name (Ian). Naming a handset
makes it easy to select the handset from a list (for
example, to intercom another handset).
You can change the name of the base unit by using
the same steps for naming a handset.
1
Press MENU.
2
Scroll to Name handset or Name base.
3
Press SELECT.
4
Enter the name you want to use (up to 12
characters). The flashing square shows the input
cursor position. Select DELETE to erase characters
to the left of the input cursor.
