SELF-TIMER

EXPOSURE COMPENSATION

After the shutter is released the camera automatically cancels the

self-timer mode.

.

To cancel the self-timer function, press the self-timer button again

or turn the camera off.

Secure the camera on a
tripod. Open the back
cover, then press the self-
timer button

• The self-timer mark (

) will

appear on the monitor.

Frame the image in the
LCD monitor, then press
the shutter-release button.

• The self-timer lamp on the front of

the camera will start blinking. A
countdown indicator will appear
on the monitor.

• The shutter will release

approximately 10 seconds after
the shutter-release button is
pressed.

Before recording the
image, press either the +
or – button to change the
exposure.

• A bar will appear on the LCD while

you set the exposure. The bar
indicates the new exposure level.

• After setting the exposure level a

mark will appear on the

information bar.

Frame the image in the
LCD monitor, then press
the shutter-release button.

• After the shutter is released the

camera automatically returns to
automatic exposure.

The exposure can be adjusted to make the image appear lighter or
darker. Exposure can be adjusted in increments of -5 to +5.

Exposure can only be adjusted in Record mode.

Set the exposure before recording the image. Once the image is

captured and written to the image memory card it cannot be
changed with the camera.
