Table of functions
The table below contains a list of the programming options for the appliance. Each
function is described in more detail in the sections below.
Express cooking
Express cooking is cooking at full microwave power for 1 minute.
1. Press the “Instant.Start” button.
2. The appliance automatically commences cooking at full microwave power after
approx. 2 seconds.
o The display shows the remaining cooking time and the symbol for microwave
power, “POWER”.
o The setting is indicated by 5 boxes on the display and 5 lights on the
indicator panel (7) corresponding to full microwave power.
3. You may increase the cooking time during cooking by pressing the “Instant.
Start” button. Each time you press the button, the time increases by 10
seconds.
Manual cooking – selecting power level
1. Press the "Micro Power" button (a) 1-5 times to select the required microwave
power level (see the various power levels in the Table of Functions).
o The display shows the symbol for microwave power, “POWER” and a
number of boxes corresponding the selected setting.
2. Set the required cooking time using the "+" and "-" buttons.
o Minimum selection is 10 seconds and maximum selection is 60 minutes.
3. Press the "Instant.Start" button to commence cooking.
4. The apparatus will start. The display shows the remaining cooking time and the
appropriate number of lights are lit on the indicator panel.
Grilling
1. Press the “Grill.Combi” button (d) once to select the grill programme, “G”.
o The display shows the symbol for grilling “GRILL”.
2. Set the required cooking time using the "+" and "-" buttons.
o Minimum selection is 10 seconds and maximum selection is 60 minutes.
3. Press the "Instant.Start" button to commence cooking.
4. The oven will start and the display will show the remaining cooking time.
NOTE: Grilling is always carried out at full power.
NOTE: In order to achieve an even result, turn the foods after half the cooking time
has elapsed.
Combination cooking
The appliance features two combination programmes (see the table in the section,
Table of Functions).
1. Press the “Grill.Combi” button 2-3 times to select the combination programmes
“C1” or “C2” respectively.
o The display shows the symbols for microwave power and grilling “POWER”
and “GRILL”.
2. Set the required cooking time using the "+" and "-" buttons.
o Minimum selection is 10 seconds and maximum selection is 60 minutes.
3. Press the "Instant.Start" button to commence cooking.
4. The oven will start and the display will show the remaining cooking time.
Defrost function
The appliance may be used to defrost foods by selecting the 3 defrosting
programmes (see the Table of Functions).
1. Place the frozen foods in the appliance.
2. Press the “Auto Defrost” button © 1-3 times to select the defrosting programme
“d.1”, “d.2” or “d.3” respectively.
o The display shows the symbol for defrosting “DEFROST”.
3. Set the weight using the "+" and "-" buttons. The appliance calculates the
defrosting time from the weight indicated (see weight intervals in the Table of
Functions).
4. Press the "Instant.Start" button to commence defrosting.
5. The oven will start and the display will show the remaining cooking time.
NOTE: After half the defrosting time has elapsed, three times two beeps are heard
to indicate you should turn the food. Open the oven door, turn the food, close the
oven door and press the “Instant.Start” button to resume defrosting.
Cooking using auto-menu
The appliance has 8 auto-menu programmes used for different food types and
functions (see auto-menu list in the table below).
1. Press the "+" or “-“ button to select auto-programme.
2. Press the "Instant.Start" button to commence cooking. The display shows
the remaining cooking time and the symbol for auto-programme, “AUTO
COOKING”.
NOTE: It may be necessary to stir or turn the food once half the cooking time has
elapsed in order to ensure uniform cooking.
Multi-stage cooking
The appliance can conduct up to four programmes in continuation of each other,
e.g. cooking at microwave power followed by grilling.
1. Set the first programme normally (as instructed in the sections above), but do
not commence cooking by pressing the "Instant.Start" button.
2. Set a further one or more programmes normally.
3. Once all programmes have been set, press the "Instant.Start" button to
commence cooking.
4. The appliance will carry out the selected programmes in continuation of each
other. The display shows the remaining cooking time for each programme as it
commences.
NOTE: The automatic and defrosting programmes cannot be used as part of a
multi-stage programme.
Timed cooking
You can set the appliance to start cooking at a given time. It is important to ensure
that the clock on the appliance is correctly set (see the section Setting the clock
above) when using this function.
1. Set the first programme/programmes normally (as instructed in the sections
above), but do not commence cooking by pressing the "Instant.Start" button.
2. Press the “Preset.Clock” button for three seconds until a short beep is heard.
3. Set the start time as described in Setting the Clock above.
4. Press the “Preset.Clock” button to complete the task. A long beep is heard,
the display changes to clock display and the clock symbol begins to flash. The
symbol for the first programme of the setting is also shown.
5. When the selected time is reached, a beep is sounded and cooking
commences.
o You can check the set start time at any time before cooking commences by
pressing the “Preset.Clock” button.
NOTE: This function cannot be applied together with the defrosting or auto-
programmes.
