SECTION 5: ADJUSTMENTS
Drum Alignment

of the way of machinery

ing the entire adjustment
process. Failure to com-

Disconnect power to the
machine when perform-
ing any adjustments or
maintenance. Failure to
do this may result in seri-
ous personal injury.
For the Model G1066/G1066Z/G1079 Drum
Sander to function properly, the sanding drums
must be aligned in two directions: (1) perpendic-
ular to feed direction (
Figures 5 and 6
) and (2)
parallel to the conveyor belt.

In order to make the above adjustments, it is nec-
essary to know how to adjust the bearing blocks.
To adjust the Model G1066/G1066Z/G1079
bearing blocks:
1.
Loosen the lock nuts (
See Figure 7
) on one
of the bearing blocks on the drum that
requires adjustment.
2.
Raise or lower the bearing block by rotating
the setscrews (
See Figure 7
).
