SECTION 2: CIRCUIT REQUIREMENTS

Circuit Requirements

Serious personal injury could occur if you

connect the machine to the power source

before you have completed the set up pro-

cess. DO NOT connect the machine to the

power source until instructed to do so.

Circuit Requirements

We recommend connecting your machine to a
dedicated and grounded circuit that is rated for
the amperage given below. Never replace a circuit
breaker on an existing circuit with one of higher
amperage without consulting a qualified electri-
cian to ensure compliance with wiring codes.

If

you are unsure about the wiring codes in your

area or you plan to connect your machine to a

shared circuit, consult a qualified electrician.

Connection to Power

Have a qualified electrician hardwire this machine
to a dedicated locking shut-off switch (see

Figure

2) that is connected to the main power source.

Electrocution or fire could

result if this machine is

not grounded correctly

or if your electrical con-

figuration does not com-

ply with local and state

codes. Ensure compliance

by checking with a quali-

fied electrician!

When using a phase converter, the power from
the manufactured power leg (sometimes called
the wild wire) can fluctuate. Connect the manu-
factured power leg to the

3L/2 terminal to prevent

damage to the IC board or transformer. The wire
from this terminal can handle some fluctuation
because it goes directly to the motor. The power
going to the

1L/2 and 5L/3 terminals goes to the

IC board and transformer and must be consistent
to prevent damage.
