anti-clockwise, as indicated by

the “OFF” arrow, to unscrew it

from the trimming head (6).

4. The spool will then become

loose. Remove the spool and

spring from the spindle.

5. Cut two 3m equal lengths of

2mm line. Thread the first line

through the top hole, above

the spool divider. Wind it in

an anti-clockwise direction, as

shown by the arrows on the

base of the spool. Then insert

the other length of line in the

bottom hole and wind it in anti-

clockwise around the spool.

6. Leaving 15cm of line, lock

each end into the slots on

opposite sides of the spool.

7. Place the spring over the

spindle. Insert each of the

cutting lines through the

eyelets in the cutting head

assembly. Feed the line

through the holes while

lowering the spool.

8. Once the spool is in place,

apply pressure on the spool,

compressing the spring. Pull

each end of the line sharply

to unlock the line from the

slots. Ensure both lines have

disengaged the slots before

proceeding. Continue to apply

pressure to the spool and

screw the spool (9) clockwise

onto the spindle. Tighten the

spool securely.

9. When operating for the first

time after changing the spool

of line ensure to test the

assembly by running the line

trimmer in a safe location. The

line may not be fully extended

so you may need to “bump”

the head at full speed to feed

the line to the correct length.

Power cable restraint

During the use of the line

trimmer, the extension cord will

continually be pulled as you

move from one area to another.
A power cable restraint (1)

support has been provided on

the housing of the line trimmer to

assist in preventing the electrical

connection between the extension

cord and the line trimmer plug

being forced apart.

Note.

The support is for the extension cord, and not the

cable from the line trimmer.
To fit the extension cord to the support, make a loop in the

extension cord and fit the loop into the curved recess at the

back of the line trimmer. Push the loop downwards so it fits

securely into the round cut away section.
