6 Volt Battery Installation
• Re-assemble the hood to the
vehicle if you have removed it to
install your Power Wheels Type H
6 volt batteries.
• Lower the hood.
• Face the front of the vehicle.
• Using a slotted screwdriver,
rotate the lock-fasteners in the
hood so that they are horizontal

• Press down on the hood so that
the lock fastener tabs on the
underside of the hood fit into the
lock fastener slots under the
hood in the battery compart-
ment.
• Rotate the lock fasteners clock-
wise 90˚ ( 1 /

turn) using a slotted
screwdriver to lock the hood and
prevent children from accessing
the batteries (
).
• Lift up on the hood to make sure
it is securely fastened.

• Position the battery retainer over
the 6 volt batteries with the ends
of the battery retainer aligned
with the screw holes in the battery
compartment.
• Insert two #8 x 1" screws through
the battery retainer and into the
battery compartment.
• Tighten the screws with a Phillips
screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• Place the connectors under the
battery retainer toward the rear
of the battery compartment.
