Release Notes
About This Release
The release notes give you late-breaking information about Kofax Export Connector 8.0.0 for
IBM FileNet Image Services. Please read this document carefully, as it contains information
that is not included in other documentation.
Version Information
This Kofax Export Connector for IBM FileNet Image Services product is identified by build
number 8.0.040. After installing the export connector, you can open Programs and Features
from the Control Panel to verify the build number, which appears in the Version column on
the list of installed programs.
New Features
The following new features are available in this release of Kofax Export Connector for IBM
FileNet Image Services:
▪ Conversion of the export connector to .NET technology to replace Visual Basic 6.
▪ Support for an MSI-based installer.
▪ Support for Unicode.
▪ New login screen that prompts for user credentials. The login screen can optionally be set
to appear during the export process if problems occur while logging in to the server. See
the Administrator's Guide for details.
▪ Ability to export batches from Kofax Express.
Known Issues
This section contains information about issues that you may encounter while working with
this release of Kofax Export Connector for IBM FileNet Image Services.
Export Fails with Multiple Document Classes from Multiple Domains
The export process fails for batches that use multiple document classes that belong to multiple
domains, and the following error appears (112933):
Error in document #2, 0 Unable to log in because another session is still
active. Please close other applications and try again.
