SAFETY HIGHLIGHTS
Read and understand this manual, the Gradall Ma-
terial Handler Safety Manual and all instructional
decals and plates before starting, operating or per-
forming maintenance procedures on this equipment.
Most safety notes included in this manual involve
characteristics of the Model 534B-9 Material
Handler. Refer to the FIEI Rough Terrain Forklift
Safety Manual and the Gradall Material Handler
Safety Manual for safety precautions relating to
general material handling procedures and practices.
Operators of this equipment must have successfully
completed a training program in the safe operation
o f t h i s t y p e o f m a t e r i a l h a n d l i n g e q u i p m e n t .
Regardless of previous experience operating similar
equipment, the operator must be given sufficient
opportunity to practice with the 534B-9 Material
Handler in a safe open area(not hazardous to people
or property)to develop the skills and”feel”required
f o r s a f e , e f f i c i e n t o p e r a t i o n .
