• A strong light source is
interfering with the CR601’s
remote sensor.
• Antenna cable is not properly
connected.
• Antenna is not pointing in the
right direction.
• Radio waves are weak.
• Noise from a TV or
interference in the signals sent
from the broadcast station.
• Signals transmitted over the
main cord are modulated by
the power source frequency.
• Ensure that DAB coverage
exists in your area.
• At the time of publishing this
manual not many secondary
services are available, this will
increase as more DAB stations
start broadcasting.
• DAB like other digital media is
good at producing quality
audio from a low level signal,
however if this signal, level is
too low a “burbling” sound can
sometimes be heard.
• You’re too far away from the
transmitter. Or, your FM
antenna is in the wrong
position or pointing in the
wrong direction. Or, the
station’s signal strength is
poor.
• The power cord has not been
connected to a wall outlet, or
the power has been turned off
for an extended period.
• Make sure that the CR601 is
not subjected to direct sunshine
or inverter-type fluorescent
lights. Relocate if necessary.
• Connect the leads properly.
• Point the antenna in the right
direction.
• Install an outdoor antenna.
• Turn off the TV.
• Change the position of the

• Install an outdoor antenna.
• Insert the plug in the opposite
direction.
• Install an outdoor antenna.
• Check that antenna is
connected.
• If a secondary service station is
available, “ >” will be displayed
in the “Ensemble No. & Freq.”.
• Use the CR601’s “Tuning aid”
while repositioning your
antenna to get the maximum
signal strength and reduce this
noise.
• Switch the FM Mode to Mono.
• Adjust the position, height, and
direction of your FM antenna.
• Install an outdoor FM antenna,
preferably one with many
elements. Installing an out-
door antenna is a specialist’s
job, so contact your nearest
dealer for advice.
• Preset your favourite radio
stations again. The power cord
must be plugged into a wall
outlet a few times each month
in order to preserve the presets.
