To shift gears, turn the throttle grip to
the SLOW position, then move the
gearshift lever to select F (forward),
N (neutral) or R (reverse) gears.
The engine can be started with the
gearshift lever in the N (neutral)
position only.
The throttle grip can be turned to the
FAST position only when the
gearshift lever is in the F (forward)
position.
Use the throttle friction adjuster to
help hold a constant throttle setting
while cruising.
Turn the adjuster clockwise to
increase throttle grip friction for
holding a constant speed.
Turn the adjuster counterclockwise to
decrease friction for easy grip
rotation.
