Troubleshooting
Symptom
Engine does not
start with the
transmitter.
Probable cause
The start button is not pressed within 2
seconds of pressing the command button.
Remedy
Push the start button within 2 seconds after
pushing the command button. (page 13)
Replace the batteries.
(Use lithium batteries CR2032.) (page 26)
The range of the
transmitter has
degraded over
time.
The doors are unlocked.
The transmitter batteries are discharged.
Open the front door (either the driver-side door
or the passenger-side door) or turn on the
ignition switch with the key. (page 11)
Lock the doors. (page 11)
The system is in inhibition mode.
