First time use
Check to make sure you have the following accessories before disposing of the packing material.
Ferrite Core on AC Cord

CAUTION: 1. Ceiling mounting is not recommended. Mounting the panel on the ceiling does not
provide adequate ventilation for the electronics or proper support for the front glass
panel. This plasma television product is designed for a maximum tilting angle of 45
degrees from vertical.

This stand for use only with Hitachi 42HDS69 . Use with other apparatus is capable
of resulting in instability causing possible injury. See important marking located on
bottom of stand.

CAUTION: Do not insert batteries with ‘+’ and ‘-’ polarities reversed as this may cause the batteries
to swell or rupture resulting in leakage.

Table Top Stand

1. Open th e b att ery c over of the rem ot e c ontrol by push ing down a nd s liding th e b ack c over off .
2. Insert two new “AA” size batteries for the remote c ontrol. Wh en rep lacing old batt eries, push them t owards the
springs and lift them out.
3. Matc h the b att eri es t o the (+) and (-) marks in the batt ery
com partm ent.
4. Ins ert the bottom of the battery, the (-) side, int o th e b att ery
com partm ent first , push t owards the springs and ins ert the
top of the battery, the (+) side, int o plac e. Do not forc e the
battery into the batt ery c om partm ent.
5. Rep lace th e cov er.
