Using the Wire Cup Brush:

1. Plug in the power grinder and test the Wire Cup Brush by running at operating speed for at least one
minute. During this test, look for vibration or fluttering of the brush, which may be caused by a dam-
aged brush or improper installation. When you are confident that the power grinder and brush are
running properly, the tool is ready for the workpiece.

2. When using the Wire Cup Brush on the workpiece, do not apply excessive pressure. Excessive
pressure on the brush may cause excessive heat build-up and/or excessive bending of the wire filaments.

Note: Do not attempt to force a small brush to do the work of a larger industrial sized
product. There are certain applications for which this product was designed. Do not
modify this product and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.

Warning: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construc-
tion activities, contain chemicals known (to the State of California) to cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: Lead from lead-based
paints, Crystalline Cilica from bricks and cement or other masonry products, Arsenic and
Chromium from chemically treated lumber. Your risk from these exposures varies, depending
on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals; work in a
well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that
are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles. (California Health & Safety Code
25249.5, et seq.)

Caution: Some woods contain preservatives such as copper chromium arsenate (CCA)
which can be toxic. When working with these materials, extra care should be taken to
avoid inhalation and minimize skin contact.

Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover
all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that
common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by
the operator.

Warning: Exposure to aluminum oxide (a dust generated from material removing processes) can result
in eye, skin and breathing irritation. Always use a NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health) approved respirator and safety goggles. Avoid skin exposure. Proper ventilation in the
work area is required.
