SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR
EXHAUST TAIL PIPE
SPARK ARRESTER

Remove the three 6 mm flange bolts, and remove the exhaust tail
pipe and the spark arrester.
Install the muffler protector and the rear pipe in the reverse order of
removal.
Install the spark arrester and the exhaust tail pipe in the reverse
order of removal.
Inspect the screen for breaks or tears and replace it if necessary.
The spark arrester must be free of breaks and holes. Replace the
spark arrester if it is damaged.
Be careful to avoid damaging the screen.
Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from the spark arrester
screen.
8 lbf·ft (11 N·m , 1.1 kgf·m)
6.3 lbf·ft (8.5 N·m , 0.87 kgf·m)
