have a qualified technician service
the engine instead.

engine oil change
cautIon! Oil is very hot during operation
and can cause burns. Wait for engine to
cool before changing oil.

Place a drain pan (not included)
underneath the crankcase’s drain plug.
Remove the drain plug and, if possible,

tilt the crankcase slightly to help drain
the oil out. Recycle used oil.
Replace the drain plug (and gasket, if

supplied) and tighten it.
Refill the oil to the proper level following

Engine section.
air Filter element Maintenance
Wipe off the air cleaner cover.

The air cleaner cover is held in place by

two knobs. Remove them.
Remove the air filter element.

Wash the element in warm water and
4.
mild detergent several times. Rinse.
Squeeze out excess water and allow
it to dry completely. Soak the filter in
lightweight oil briefly, then squeeze out
the excess oil.
Install the new filter or the cleaned filter.
5.
Secure the Air Cleaner Cover before
use.
