You can set the flash output from 1/1 full output to 1/128 power in 1/3-
step increments.
Use a flash meter (commercially available) to determine the required
flash output to obtain a correct flash exposure. Setting the camera’s
shooting mode to <
W > or < q > is recommended.

Set the flash mode to < q >.
Press the < E > button of the
< S > cross keys.
Turn < 9 > to select < R >, then
press < 8 >.

Set the flash output.
Press the < O > button of the < S >
cross keys.
Turn < 9 > to set the flash output,
then press < 8 >.
When you press the camera’s shutter
button halfway, an indication of the
shooting distance and the aperture
setting are displayed.
